Meet our Bloggers

Alex Bogel: Alex Bogel is a member of the English Department at Stoneleigh-Burnham School as well as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Theory of Knowledge (TOK) teacher. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Bogel is also an advisor, a houseparent and he coaches JV Basketball.

Liz Feeley: Liz Feeley is the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations and Development. In her role, Liz creates opportunities for our passionate alumnae to connect and re-connect with each other and the school. She enjoys going out on the road to meet and listen to the stories of our inspirational alumnae.

Bill Ivey: A dedicated member of the faculty, Bill Ivey is the Middle School Dean at Stoneleigh-Burnham School. He teaches Humanities 7, French I, and the Middle and Upper School Rock Bands; he also co-teaches ESL Humanities. Bill is the advisor for MOCA, the middle school student government, and he coordinates and participates in the middle school service program.

Laura Lavallee: Laura Lavallee is the Associate Director of Admissions, a resident and the public relations coordinator. A 2004 graduate of Stoneleigh-Burnham School, Laura attended Quinnipiac University and graduated with a degree in Public Relations. Laura enjoys the opportunity to share her own experiences at Stoneleigh-Burnham with the current students.

Sally Mixsell: As an alumna, Sally brings an intimate knowledge of the Stoneleigh-Burnham community to the position of Head of School. She is dedicated to the academic, social and physical growth of each girl, and believes that such development is accomplished by students’ engagement in a close community where meaningful participation is key. Sally’s contributions to this blog allow parents, fellow alumnae, prospective families, and friends a close view into the life of the school from her perspective.

Guest Faculty Bloggers: Occasionally we will have guest contributions from members of our faculty. Their voices provide an exclusive view into the classrooms, halls, lounges and residence halls that make Stoneleigh-Burnham School such a great place to live, work and study.
